I choose Fullerton because it is “Memorable, challenging, and fun.”

“Fullerton has prepared me academically by offering a variety of Honors, AP, and IB classes taught by amazing teachers!”

Junior Katie Trimble plans to participate in Concert and Marching Band for four years. She is a member of the Academy of the Arts, Tri-M Music Honors Society and National Honors Society/California Scholarship Foundation. She is also the Assistant Drum Major for the marching band.

Four year programs bring a family culture to the school and are often described as “home” to many students here.

“Becoming involved in at least one four year program is extremely important because everyone needs a home during their time at Fullerton. In addition, participating in a four year program gives you access to leadership opportunities, memories, and new friends,” Trimble said.

Instrumental Music Director Troy Trimble challenges her to be her best. “Mr. Trimble pushes me to ‘own’ whatever I want to accomplish and to reach for success.”

Although she is an active member of the instrumental music program, she prioritizes her academics for a successful future.

“For me, academic success is important because it opens doors to future opportunities,” Trimble said.

Trimble commends Fullerton for providing for her, and credits English 3 AP/IB teacher Mr. Leonardo Indelicato for challenging her the most.

He pushes me out of my comfort zone. I've learned to never think I can't do something.” Trimble said.

Without the commitment from her academic and program instructors here, she would not be where she is today.

“I choose Fullerton because of its extremely dedicated teachers, strong academics, family culture, and exceptional extracurricular programs.”
