Welcome to Fullerton Union High School! Home of the Indians! I am Laura Rubio and I am happy to have been named as the new principal of Fullerton Union High School.
I am very proud and honored to be part of this great school community. I have been in education for 18 years, all at the high school level. Ten of those years have been in administration, I came to the school district 5 years ago into La Habra High School. Most recently I was at Troy High School, from which I was then given the opportunity to serve as Fullerton’s new principal just a few months ago. I have found in these last few months that this is a school rich in tradition and rich in programs and opportunities for our students. It is very much embedded in the culture of the city of Fullerton. It is definitely known as a legacy school due to the many generations that have graced our halls with wonderful memories.
We have a rich tradition of academic, athletic and co-curricular success. It is this commitment to learning that has propelled us to a national ranking in the top 5% of high schools in US News and World Report. FUHS offers a variety of programs not only so students can apply their learning but so that every student can find their passion and find a place to call their own. There is so much to choose from because our course offerings are as diverse as our student body and represent what is best in schools today.
All of our programs have been created to support students in their readiness for college and career which is evidenced by the number of graduates who are accepted to postsecondary education and excel in their careers after graduation. I am very proud to be principal of this great high school and hope to lead and support our students and staff successfully.
