What is the CAADA?
The California Dream Act Application allows eligible students interested in attending eligible California colleges, universities and career education programs to apply for state financial aid.
In addition, the California Dream Act, allows eligible students to pay in-state tuition at any public college in California.
Who Can Apply for CADAA?
Students who live in California and meet the eligibility requirements for a non-resident exemption, as well as students who have a U Visa or TPS status, can use the California Dream Act application (CADAA). Similarly, students without Social Security Numbers or students who have lost DACA status (or never applied for DACA), may still be eligible.

This application is unrelated to the federal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
What Will I Need to Fill Out the CADAA?
To complete the CA Dream Act Application (CADAA), you will need:
- Your federal income tax returns, W-2s, and other records of money earned (if you or your parents have any) For more information if you or your return(s) have not been completed, see the instructions on the Dream Act Application
- Records of child support received or paid (if applicable)
- Current bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)
- Records of untaxed income (if applicable)
- Parents full legal name, date of birth and social security (if applicable)
- Parents date of marriage, divorce/separation (if applicable)
If you are a dependent student, then you will also need most of the above information for your parent(s)
