Message From Dr. Mynster

  • I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all of our students and their families to the 2017-18 school year at Troy High School!  Troy High School is a very special place, and one that has opportunities for every student to prepare for productive futures in college and career. Welcome to being a part of the Troy educational experience, and the Troy family!

We are so excited to begin the 2017-18 school year and all the promise it will bring for our students! Troy High School continues to be extraordinary, with county, state, and national recognition. Last year, we were recognized by Orange County and California recognition as a Gold Ribbon school, and State and National Recognition as a Magnet and STEM school by Niche.com, U.S. News and World Report, and Educational Results Partnership.   For 2017-18 we are continuing to improve our academic programs, athletic programs, and school facilities.  For students and families already attending Troy, the construction has served notice as to the ongoing improvements at Troy High School.  We look forward to the completion of construction on our new aquatic complex by the end of August, and soon we will begin modernization of both gyms, and the performing arts building.

Troy High School is now officially 1:1, having issued every student a Chromebook at Orientation!  These new educational devices will help our students stay competitive in a very quickly changing 21st Century world and will allow for the additional educational opportunities.  These are only some of the changes that will make Troy a better home away from home for all of our students and will allow for even greater students’ opportunities and performance!

At Troy High School there are many people available to help our students reach their dreams.  All school staff members share the same belief that Troy High School is special, and we know that is why every student has chosen to come here.  At Troy there is no substitute for hard work and there are no shortcuts, but you will find academic, athletic, career, and social support from enthusiastic staff members, fellow students, and parents.  We all work together toward the goal that everyone succeeds and nobody is left behind.  At Troy, the family connection cannot be misunderstood or understated…we are a family.

Working together, we will continue to ensure Troy is the place where all our students bring their dreams to life. I welcome the opportunity to meet and get to know our new students and families, and I look forward to continuing to build and strengthen my relationships with our returning family members!

Welcome to the 2017-18 school year, and “Go Warriors!”

    William V. Mynster, Ph.D.
