Troy Library Information

  • Hours: The library is open every school day from 6:30 am to 6 pm Monday through Thursday and 6:30 am to 5 pm on Fridays. Students may visit the library without a pass before school, during break, at lunch and after school.

    Hours during AP/IB/Cambridge Testing:

Starting April 29, 2025 the Library will be closed for testing at various times.  Students will not have access to the Library during testing and are encouraged to plan ahead when it comes to printing.  Please refer to the calendar to see what days and times the Library will be unavailable.  The testing schedule may change, so make sure to stop and read the signs outside the Library.

Library use during Class Time: Students are required to have a pass from their teacher to use the library during class time.  Students should check in at the library counter and leave the pass with the library technician.  If a student has a free period, they must have a sticker on the back of their ID card indicating the free period.  Stickers are located at the attendance office. Students may also show their 5 Star app which will reflect a free period.

There is no food or drink allowed in the Library at any time.  Water ONLY is ok.

Service Fee for Overdue Materials: Overdue library materials create problems for other students wanting to use the materials.  It is not possible to purchase multiple copies of many materials.  For this reason, a service charge will be assessed against overdue materials.  $.25 a day will be assessed for any late library book that is overdue.  If the student has an excused absence for the day the library material was due, the fine is forgiven for the time of absence.

Lost Library Materials: Students who have lost library materials must pay the cost of the item plus a $5.00 charge for processing.  The money is refundable if the item is subsequently found in the same semester it was lost.

To Check Out Materials: Student IDs (physical ID or 5 Star) are required to check out library materials and textbooks.  If you have lost your ID card, go to the Activities Office to purchase a replacement at break or lunch. A replacement card will cost $5.00.  Students must return all overdue items and have all charges cleared before checking out or renewing any library materials.
