• Spring 2024 Schedule Change Policy and Timeline

    Drop a class/Level Change: The district’s Spring semester deadline to drop a class and/or drop course levels (i.e., Honors/IB/AP to lower level) without receiving a grade of “F” is the end of the third quarter.  Completed schedule change forms with required signatures must be submitted to the assigned counselor by Friday, March 15th by 3:30pm

    Credit/No Credit: Under board policy, a student may enroll in a course for credit or no credit rather than the A to F letter grade.  Courses taken without a letter grade will not satisfy entrance requirements for the University of California and California State Universities. Private schools may or may not accept them and it is up to the student to verify. Because this may negatively impact college admissions, it is not recommended that students elect the Credit/No Credit grading system in most situations.  Per district policy, requests for Credit/No Credit must be submitted by the last day of the third quarter.  Completed Credit/No Credit Forms with required signatures must be submitted to the assigned counselor by Friday, March 15th by 3:30pm.

    Schedule changes are subject to space availability. Therefore, we do not guarantee that your request can be processed. For any schedule change described above, students must contact their school counselor via email or in person before school, at break, lunch or after school to obtain the necessary form for signatures. Parent/guardian consent and administrator approval is required to make any of the changes above.
