• Sonora High School Special Program Application

    Sonora High School will begin accepting Special Program Applications for the 2025/2026 academic school year beginning Monday, December 2, 2024. You may complete the online application (linked below) OR complete the paper application (attached below). 

    For paper applications, ALL required documents must be emailed to Ms. Flores at aflores@fjuhsd.org  OR returned in-person to the Sonora High School Guidance Office. 

    This application is for the following programs: Academy of Nursing & Medical Careers, Agriculture Floral, Agriculture Mechanics, Agri Science, Animal Science, Culinary Arts, Digital Media Arts, and JROTC. 

    Please DO NOT use this application for AVID or IB. You will need to directly contact Mr. Nguyen dnguyen@fjuhsd.org for AVID or Mrs. Appenrodt sappenrodt@fjuhsd.org for IB.


    After submitting an online or paper application, here’s what to expect next: 

    1. Notification of Acceptance or Denial: You will receive an acceptance or denial email within 3 business days of submitting your application.

    2. Initiating the Permit Process: If accepted, please take your acceptance letter to your home school/district to begin the permit process.

    3. Permit Review: Once your home school/district processes the permit, they will send it to our District to review and approve.

    4. Enrollment: Once the permit has been approved by both schools/districts, families will be able to then complete the enrollment process at Sonora High School. 

    Please note that the entire permit process typically takes 2–3 weeks to complete. Please ensure all required documentation is submitted promptly to avoid delays.
