• The Regional Occupational Program (ROP) is free to all high school students and offers hands-on training to develop marketable skills and to encourage good work attitudes. Students can earn elective credits by taking an ROP class during the regular school day and/or after school and certain ROP classes can fulfill the UC-approved a-g list. Students who take ROP classes attain entry-level job skills, prepare for well-paying careers, and prepare for advanced career training.

    Sonora’s ROP (On-Campus) Pathways include: 

    Food Service and Hospitality Pathway

    • Intro to Culinary Arts (Year 1) 
    • Culinary Catering (Year 2) 
    • Culinary Management (Year3) 

    Patient Care Pathway

    • Body Systems and Disorders
    • Medical Assistant Clinical and Administrative

    How to sign up for ROP Regional Classes (Off-Campus) 

    2023-2024 Off-Campus ROP (Regional) Classes 


    Interested in signing up for an Off Campus ROP course? Please follow the following instructions: 

    STEP 1 - Review the 2023/2024 ROP After School Schedule and Select the class you are interested in taking. Be mindful of class prerequisites and requirements. 2023/2024 ROP Regional Course Offerings


    STEP 2 - Complete the Parent Consent Form for your selected class and then turn it in to Mrs. Beglin in the Guidance Office. Parent Consent Form


    STEP 3 - Fill out the Online Student Pre-Registration Form.  Online Student Pre-Registration Form 


    The deadline to submit the Consent Form and Complete the Student Pre-Registration Document is April 14th, 2023
