The mathematics curriculum at La Habra High School is designed to benefit the student who plans to enter an occupation immediately after graduation as well as the college-bound student. The program encompasses a complete college preparation sequence of classes.
La Habra High School offers an honors and advanced placement (AP) mathematics curriculum. The honors and AP course offerings include Algebra 1 Honors, Geometry Honors, Algebra 2 Honors, Precalculus Honors, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, and AP Statistics.
100% of the La Habra High School students passed the AP Calculus AB exam in 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2019. This is quite an accomplishment given the global AP Calculus AB pass rate average is typically around 58%. Performing well on the AP Calculus AB exam requires a strong foundation in algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. The success of the La Habra High School students on the AP Calculus AB exam is a testament to the hard work the students put forth and the expectations of the teachers who have supported and taught them over the course of their mathematics education.
