REGIONAL OCCUPATIONAL PROGRAM

  • The Regional Occupational Program in Fullerton Joint Union High School District is a free program to all students offering hands-on training in order to develop employment ready skills and provide career exploration opportunities while earning high school elective credits.

    Students can take ROP classes during the regular school day, after school at La Habra High School, and at other High Schools and sites where ROP classes are offered within North Orange County.

    Whether a student aspires to be a Teacher, Police Officer, Fireman, Paramedic , Carpenter,  Vocational Nurse, Dental Hygenist, Certified Nursing Assistant, Chef, Graphic Artist, Auto Mechanic or Engineer etc., ROP  proves to be a vital program for our LHHS students.

    There are other amazing opportunities available to our LHHS students, such as Dental Assisting, Medical Core, and Fundamentals of Nursing.

    SPECIAL Benefits of the ROP Program: 
    Students attain entry-level job skills, prepare for a well-paying career, earn high school elective credits, meet "A-G" , requirements for UC/CAL State University, ROP approved courses , earn credits or advanced placement toward approved community college courses when a grade of 'A' or 'B' is earned in the class.

    Students who have taken 6 semesters of ROP coursework and who have earned a grade of B or better are eligible to wear/purchase an ROP Graduation Cord.
