Troy High School Cambridge Program
  • Introduction to Troy's Cambridge Program

The Cambridge Program at Troy High School is one of Troy's two premiere international programs (the other being IB). With its focus on A Level courses and exams, it is unlike any other Cambridge program in the United States and one of the few of its kind in the world. The program represents an innovative, ongoing collaboration between Troy High School and Cambridge International Education (CIE).

    What Does It Offer Students?

Troy High School's Cambridge program uniquely offers Troy students the opportunity to take multiple A Level courses and exams, as well as earn an A Level-focused Cambridge AICE Diploma. A student who passes an A Level exam with a strong score can earn significant college credit (up to 12 quarter units in the UC System, for example), and the A Level-focused AICE is an outstanding academic achievement.

In addition, more broadly, A Level courses deliver an uncommon breadth and depth of subject content, typically over two years of instruction. While the exams provide a path to college credit, the rigorous, advanced A Level curriculum truly prepares students for University studies. For that reason, A Level students, in particular, are recognized as "prime targets for America's Ivy League Universities."
