The Regional Occupational Program in Fullerton Joint Union High School District offers a free hands-on training in developing employment ready skills and provides career exploration opportunities while earning high school elective credits. Students can take ROP classes during the regular school day and/or after school at Sunny Hills High School.

Engineering Design and Development
INTRODUCTION TO ENGINEERING DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT - Students learn problem-solving skills using a design development process. Models of product solutions are created, analyzed and communicated using solid modeling computer design software.
PRINCIPLES OF ENGINEERING - Explore careers in the field of engineering. Learn how engineers and technicians use math, science, and technology in an engineering problem-solving process to benefit people.
ENGINEERING DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT - An engineering research course in which students work in teams to design and develop an original solution to an open-ended engineering problem.
Production and Managerial Arts
ART OF VIDEO PRODUCTION - Learn technical skills behind camera work, lighting, sound recording and video graphics production. Students will work with software programs including Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
PHOTOGRAPHY: TRADITIONAL & DIGITAL - Learn black/white film developing, black/white negative printing, basic photographic presentation techniques, and darkroom/manual camera equipment identification and use. Through laboratory experiences in the darkroom students learn portraiture, commercial and fine art application of traditional photography.
INTRODUCTION TO DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY - Introduces students on the foundations of digital photography relating to historical and contemporary practices of photography. Students will develop a solid groundwork for understanding basic camera controls such as shutter speed, aperture, and ISO in relation to visual expression through the photographic medium.
Transportation
INTRO TO AUTOMOTIVE TECH - Trains students to diagnose, adjust, repair or overhaul automotive vehicles. Instructional areas in this course include shop and personal safety, tools and equipment, automobile brakes and engine repair.
AUTOMOTIVE TECH - Students learn to use diagnostic equipment to find operational faults, document the faults, and repair them. Students train to perform service on a variety of steering systems, align wheels, and diagnose problems based on tire wear patterns. You will learn to repair tires, diagnose and repair all types of brake systems, and refinish brake drums.
ADVANCED AUTOMOTIVE TECH - Trains students to diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul automotive vehicles. Instructional areas in this course include heating/air conditioning, manual drivetrain and axis, and automotive transmission/transaxle.
Patient Care
MEDICAL CAREERS - Trains students for entry-level occupations in the medical/health field and to standards required of workers in the field. Students learn the ethical and legal responsibilities of the health care worker, safety, HIPAA, transmission based precautions, body mechanics, transporting duties, human anatomy and physiology, the normal function of body systems, advanced terminology, and vital signs.
SPORTS MEDICINE AND THERAPY - Sports Medicine and Therapy is for students who are interested in the practical and theoretical aspects of sports injury prevention, recognition, treatment, and care of sport-related injuries.
