Conflict Management (CM)
School site conflict programs provide training for peer-to-peer student conflict mediation from a trained adult facilitator. Student conflict mediators help disputing students find their own resolutions. Conflict mediators gain confidence in their leadership and communication abilities and provide models of effective communication and cooperation for fellow students.
Conflict mediation is separate from the school disciplinary program, but serves as an intervention and opportunity to diffuse a conflict before it becomes a bigger problem. Students that want to be involved should contact the Conflict Mediation adviser at their respective campuses actively participating in the program.
