    CSEdWeek is here, and it’s time to celebrate the power of computer science! We also celebrate the birthday of Ada Lovelace this week. Ada Lovelace is considered the first computer programmer. She is considered the first person to recognize that computers had a much larger potential than mathematical calculation. Happy birthday, Ada! On Thursday, the computer science department will hold an open house at lunch in room 42 for you to discover the potential of computer science. During the Open House you can experience coding, enjoy the snacks and be entered into the raffle for gift cards, t-shirts and more!

    Reminder: Track & Field tryouts are this week, December 7th & 8th. Anyone wishing to try out must be athletically cleared and fill out the new athlete form. You will receive an email by Wednesday confirming your spot. If you have any questions, reach out to Coach Holloway before tryouts.

    Auditions for the Lancer Theatre Company's Winter Play, Almost, Maine are coming up on Monday, December 11th. Come to the informational meeting this Tuesday, December 5th during lunch in Room 26 to find out how to sign up. This opportunity is available to all students.

Come support DP, Dance 3, Deviation Hip Hop Club and 19 of your very own SHHS Faculty compete for the coveted mirror ball trophy! Tickets are $13 with a Gold Card and $15 without. Head to the shhsdance Instagram or scan the QR code on the posters around campus. Friday is sold out so make sure to get your tickets for Thursday's show before it's too late!

    The IB program is collecting new Christmas toys for local families-in-need this holiday season. Starting November 27th to December 15th, drop off any donations at Room 180. For more information, check out the flyers posted around campus or our instagram, @shhsib
