Student Instructions

  • NEW STUDENTS

    All students wishing to enroll for the first time in La Vista or one of La Sierra High School's programs must complete the following steps:

    1. Fill out, Sign, and Turn in the Registration Paperwork.

    • The Student Information Sheet, the Emergency Card, the McKinney Vento Assistance Form, the Chromebook Technology Agreement, the *Chromebook Insurance Form, and the Leaders in Resiliency Permission Form need to be printed, filled out, signed by the student and parent/legal guardian, and brought in to a scheduled orientation. Click on the links at the bottom of this page to open the documents.  If you have not completed a District Application for a Free or Reduced Price Meal for your student, please select the link below to do so.  Please be aware that you need to read the school handbook for school policies in order to sign some of the paperwork.

    2. Attend a Scheduled Orientation

    • For La Vista HS and La Sierra Opportunity, orientations are scheduled once per quarter, and once during the summer.  For La Sierra's iSierra Online Academy/Independent Study, orientations are scheduled as daily.  Please select your desired school and program from the list on the left to obtain orientation information.

     RETURNING STUDENTS

    All students who previously attended La Vista or La Sierra High School in the current school year, and are returning to the SAME school/program* must complete the following steps:

    1. Fill out, Sign, and Turn in the Registration Paperwork.

    • The Student Information Sheet, the Emergency Card, the McKinney Vento Assistance Form, the Chromebook Technology Agreement, the *Chromebook Insurance Form, and the Leaders in Resiliency Permission Form , need to be printed, filled out, signed by the student and parent/legal guardian, and brought in to the registrar by the designated date (see Announcements on the Homepage). Click on the links at the bottom of this page to open the documents.   If you have not completed a District Application for a Free or Reduced Price Meal for your student, please select the link below to do so. Please be aware that you need to read the school handbook for school policies in order to sign some of the paperwork.

     *If you previously attended La Sierra High School, but are enrolling in a different program, you are considered a NEW STUDENT, and must follow those directions.  

    (For example, if you attended La Sierra Opportunity, but are now enrolling in the iSierra Online Academy, you are a NEW STUDENT to the iSierra Online Academy.  If you attended La Vista and are now enrolling in a La Sierra program, such as iSierra Online Academy/Independent Study, you are a NEW STUDENT to iSierra Online Academy/Independent Study).
