RELATIONSHIPS RIGOR RELEVANCE RESULTS

Principal's Message

  • It is with great honor and excitement that I introduce myself, Chad Freeman, as the new principal of La Habra High School (LHHS).  I couldn’t be more proud to lead LHHS, a California Distinguished School, National Blue Ribbon Nominated School, recipient of multiple Golden Bell Awards, plus record holder of five straight US News Best Schools Silver Medals!

My passion for education and supporting the success of all students started in Maryland in 2001 where I began my career as a biology teacher.  I made the move to California in 2005 where I extended my passion of teaching to becoming a coach, department chair, and WASC leadership team member at La Quinta High School in the Garden Grove Unified School District.  I joined the Fullerton Joint Union High School District in 2009 serving as an Assistant Principal. In 2015, I was warmly welcomed into the Highlander Family as the Assistant Principal of Instruction and Operations (APIO).  As the newly appointed principal, I am looking forward to continuing the rich Highlander history and traditions established over the past 63 years.

High standards and expectations for each student in regard to academic performance, co-curricular participation, and responsible citizenship are the foundations of La Habra High School.  It is through Rigor, Relevance, Relationships, and Results that we hold these high standards and ask each of our students to rise to the challenge to set extraordinary records of achievement and contribution that has been the legacy of La Habra High School students.

An excellent education is not possible without the great collaboration of students, parents, and staff.  I would like to acknowledge all of the “behind the scenes” work done by many people to support the success of our students and positive culture of our school including our custodial team, office staff, and counselors.  I value and appreciate ALL of the work being done to ensure La Habra High School provides a home for all students.

Throughout the school year, I encourage you to remain in contact with your student’s teachers with any questions or concerns that you may have regarding academic progress. In addition, please feel free to contact the campus at (562) 266-5000 with any suggestions, positive feedback, questions, or concerns.

Always remember, as Highlanders, we rise to the challenge!

    Chad Freeman, Principal
