Every year the district is required to build the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP). The LCAP is a tool for local educational agencies to set goals, plan actions, and leverage resources to meet those goals to improve student outcomes. They seek input from students, staff and parents regarding the building of the plan.
Please utilize the link below to complete the survey so the district can receive your input.

Principal's Message

  • As the 2019-2020 school year continues to progress, it is important to take a moment to introduce myself as La Habra High School’s Interim Principal. I am excited to have the opportunity to serve in this capacity at this time.

I began my professional career in education in 1997 after graduating from the University of Utah. I was hired as a health education teacher and coached high school baseball in Southern California. After teaching and coaching for 4 years, I took on a new adventure coaching baseball for the University of Utah. Missing the profession after more than 3 years encouraged me to return to high school education. Since returning, I have had the pleasure of serving at the secondary level in the capacity of teacher, coach, ASB advisor, counselor, assistant principal, principal and program administrator. I have been at La Habra High School now for more than 3 years and have served in the capacity of Assistant Principal of Student Affairs (APSA) and Assistant Principal of Instructional Operations (APIO).  It is an honor to now serve as the Interim Principal.

La Habra High School is committed to remaining a school that students, staff, parents and the community are proud of and is high achieving. LHHS is a California Distinguished School, National Blue Ribbon Nominated School, recipient of four Golden Bell Awards, plus a record holder of five straight US News Best Schools Silver Medals!

Our acclaimed school remains a place that is known for high academic achievement, student involvement and a rich culture of family. Highlanders look at obstacles as a chance to get stronger and as a great opportunity to grow. It is through Rigor, Relevance, Relationships, and Results that we hold these high standards and ask each of our students to set extraordinary records of achievement and contribution that has been the legacy of La Habra High School.

    Go Highlanders!

    Matthew Eeles, Interim Principal
