Volunteers

Individuals interested in volunteering at one of our comprehensive sites will need to submit a Volunteer Application through Informed K12. A new application is required each school year. Volunteer clearance does not carry over from one year to the next.

Once the site Administrators have completed their approval process, the application will then be submitted to Human Resources to begin the clearance process. The application must be cleared by the site, HR cannot accept applications directly from volunteers.

Human Resources will make contact with the volunteer to begin the clearance process, which includes fingerprinting and verification that all required forms and documentation have successfully been submitted.

Under Senate Bill (SB) 848, effective July 1, 2026, volunteers who work with students outside the immediate supervision of a parent, guardian, or school employee are mandated reporters. These volunteers will receive instructions for setting up a Keenan account and completing mandated reporter training, which must be renewed each year. Human Resources will notify the volunteer once all requirements are complete and the volunteer is approved to serve.
