The Buena Park High School Counseling Department employs a case carrier model. Every student is assigned a counselor who will follow that student throughout the student's high school career. Students are assigned a counselor alphabetically by their last name.  Over the four years, counselors will help the student develop and follow an academic plan (reviewing grades, attendance and recommending appropriate placement and interventions) and provide college and career counseling to help the student prepare for his or her post-secondary plans.

All students are also seen by Counselors during registration in the Spring of each year. At this time, the student's transcript is reviewed. Suggestions will be made regarding course selection as it pertains to high school graduation and/or college requirements.

As you navigate through the Counseling website, you will find information regarding registration, the college application process, financial aid, resources, important dates and more. If you need further information, please contact the Counseling Office at 714-992-8642 or email your Counselor

Students are welcome to stop by the Counseling Office without an appointment before school, break, lunch or after school with any questions they may have (do not come during class as we don't want you to miss instructional time). Parents can set up an appointment to meet with a counselor. Counselors are accessible via email or phone.
