📚 PSAT Registration — Grades 10–11

Registration has been extended! Sophomores and juniors are invited to register for the PSAT/NMSQT, taking place on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 8:00 AM at Sonora High School.

Students may register during the Activities Window before school, break, or lunch. The testing location will be announced to registered students, and the PSAT Student Guide will be provided later in September.

11th Grade Fee Waivers: Qualifying juniors who receive Free/Reduced Lunch may be eligible for a fee waiver. Students must contact their counselor before registering.

📌 Important Testing Information

The UC and CSU systems currently do not use SAT/ACT scores for campus admission decisions or awarding financial aid. However, testing policies can vary by college, particularly for private and out-of-state universities, so students should check individual college websites for current requirements and recommendations.

Considering a UC? The UC system is currently reviewing whether to partially or fully reinstate SAT/ACT requirements as early as the Class of 2028. Taking the PSAT can provide valuable practice and preparation for students who may eventually need to take a college entrance exam.
