Boy’s State, Girl’s State, and the Youth Environmental Conference
Interviews for juniors that are interested in attending Girl’s State will be held on March 3rd, and interviews for Boy’s State, and the Youth Environmental Conference will be held later next month. The Girl’s and Boy’s State programs are designed to introduce college bound students to the operations of local, state and federal government. In these exciting summer programs, students have the opportunity to run for office, learn public speaking skills, draft and debate legislation, and actively participate in all phases of creating and running a working democracy. Girl’s State will be held from June 26th to July 1st, 2017 at Claremont McKenna College, and Boy’s State will take place in Sacramento from June 18th to the 25th. The Youth Environmental Conference will take place in May from 20th to the 23rd and the YEC is designed to introduce students to careers in environmental studies and is taught by professionals in the US Forestry Service. Students that are interested should pick up applications in room 146 (JROTC) and apply no later than Tuesday, 28 February.

Larry’s pizza will donate 20% of proceeds from February 18th through February 25th to raise money for FUHS Boys’ tennis program.
Prom 2017: Harbor Nights
Prom tickets are on sale now through Friday, March 3rd in the activities office for $85 w/ IFL and $95 without. All students must submit a dance contract and clear all fines before being allowed to buy their ticket. FUHS student contracts and off campus guest contracts are available in the activities office. Sea you there!
Attention Seniors: PTSA will be on campus Friday at lunch selling Grad Nite tickets. You will need to bring the signed permission slip with you at the time of payment. Forms are available online. Cost is $120.00 payable by check (made out to FUHS Grad Nite), cash, or money order. Look for PTSA in the Breezeway at lunch on Friday to buy your ticket.
