Dear FJUHSD Staff Members, Students, and Parents/Guardians,

The District will reopen athletics beginning Wednesday, August 12, 2020 for fall sports
(football, boys and girls cross country, boys and girls volleyball, and boys and girls
water polo) . On Monday, August 17, 2020, all athletics and activities will be open. The
following criteria must be followed in order for athletics and activities to open.
FJUHSD Directives, Requirements, and Guidelines for Participation For All Coaches,
Advisors, and Students:

● All students must be cleared through
● COVID 19 waiver must be signed and turned in
● All activities must be conducted outside (no indoor activities permitted)
● Masks are required to be worn by student athletes and coaches except when in the pool
and when heavy exertion is occurring
● Students and staff must be socially distanced at all times (6 feet apart)
● Students may not be on campus outside of their practice time
● Spectators, parents, non-participating students, and family members are not allowed at
any athletic practices or activities on campus
● Sharing of equipment between student athletes (balls, gloves, water bottles, throwing of
football to each other, playing catch, etc.) is not allowed
● Student Athletes may not use the locker rooms except for use of the restrooms
● 50 max outside (student total)
● Camps, competitions, and games are not permitted
● 6th period practice begins at the time designated by the coach. Each coach will work
with his/her athletes to determine a start time that works for all. Athletics may occur
during 6th period school day
● Participation in Athletics and Activities is strictly voluntary during Distance Learning and
the Hybrid Model of Instruction
