Senior Student Exit Procedure: Google Account

Dear Seniors,

As graduation approaches, it's important to prepare for the transition of your Fullerton Joint Union High School District (FJUHSD) Google Account. Reading and reviewing the attached document is required to ensure you do not lose access to important files, emails, or other information tied to your school account.

🔍 What’s on the First Page?

The first page of the document explains that your FJUHSD Google Account will be disabled after graduation. This means:

  • You will no longer be able to sign in to your school Gmail, Google Drive, Docs, Slides, Sheets, or Classroom.
  • Any files, assignments, or personal documents stored on your school Google Drive will no longer be accessible once your account is deactivated.

Because of this, it’s crucial that you take steps now to save any files you wish to keep.

📁 How to Keep Your Files

The attached document includes step-by-step instructions for:

  • Transferring your files to a personal Google Account using Google Takeout.
  • Downloading your data directly to your computer.
  • Transferring ownership of documents if you collaborated with others.

Please review the instructions in the attachment carefully to ensure you preserve anything important to you—whether it’s classwork, college application materials, resumes, or personal projects.

✉️ Update Your Email Contact Info!

Before your school account is deactivated, make sure to update your email address on any important accounts or services where you used your FJUHSD email, such as:

  • College Board (for AP scores and SAT/PSAT results)
  • Financial aid and scholarship portals
  • College applications and admissions portals
  • Job or internship platforms

Switch these to a personal email address that you will continue to use after graduation. This helps prevent missed messages about important deadlines, scores, or opportunities.

Best of luck as you approach graduation—and please be sure to review the attached document thoroughly to protect your access to important digital files and accounts!
