  • 1. College Readiness Program for high school students: Joya Scholars provides students with free weekly tutoring, one-on-one academic guidance, virtual college tours, college application classes, and more. Students can join the program by contacting Lisset Magdaleno at lissetmagdaleno@joyascholars.org
    2. Reality Changers College Apps AcademyJoya Scholars is offering a 25-week program for current high school seniors on Wednesdays at 3:30PM via Zoom. Seniors can receive weekly 1:1 guidance from an instructor for 2 hours a week for college planning and applications, financial aid workshops, scholarship support, and assistance with the transition to college. 
    3. Advance! Onto College: Currently offering free online advising appointments Mondays - Thursdays 3:30pm - 7:30pm. Students/families can receive help with financial aid/applications, college applications, and personal statements. The instructions on how to create an online appointment are listed on the flyer at the bottom of this page.
     
    4. OC Public Libraries is offering a free two-hour Design and Code Apps workshop for students ages 13 and older to learn about apps and how to create them. Students can register for this event at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CKYQ6K2. There is no flyer available, but families can read more information about this workshop and other events online at: https://www.ocpl.org/virtual-programs/events.    
     
    5. Feed Fullerton is a new City run program connecting low-income households with meals from Fullerton’s local eateries. Enrolled participants will receive 6 vouchers per month to use at participating restaurants in Fullerton. Eligibility: Must be ages 18 and over, meet household low income eligibility criteria, current City of Fullerton resident, and not receiving CaFresh benefits. This could benefit parents and 18 year old students from low-income households and/or that are homeless or on their own.     6. La Habra Family Resource Center is currently providing partial rental assistance and utility assistance to La Habra residents only. For more information, please call: 714-447-3460 EXT.200. The flyer in English and Spanish is located at the bottom of this page.
     
    7. La Habra Family Resource Center offers multiple services such as counseling, Medi-cal/CalFresh assistance, legal services, child support assistance, and classes/workshops on a variety of topics. The English and Spanish flyer is located at the bottom of this page.
     
    8NOCE is offering no-cost online Love & Logic Parenting Classes. The flyer is located at the bottom of this page.
