• 1. Free College Readiness Program for high school students: Joya Scholars provides students with free weekly tutoring, one-on-one academic guidance, virtual college tours, college application classes, and more. Click here for the flyer.  
    2. Free College Apps and Financial Aid Assistance: Reality Changers College Apps Academy: Joya Scholars is offering a 25-week program for current high school seniors on Wednesdays at 3:30PM via Zoom. Seniors can receive weekly 1:1 guidance from an instructor for 2 hours a week for college planning and applications, financial aid workshops, scholarship support, and assistance with the transition to college.     3. Free College App and Financial Aid Assistance: Advance! Onto College currently offering free online advising appointments Mondays - Thursdays 3:30pm - 7:30pm. Students/families can receive help with financial aid/applications, college applications, and personal statements. The instructions on how to create an online appointment are listed on this program flyer.
     
    4. Free Design and Code Workshops + Other Online Events: OC Public Libraries is offering a free two-hour Design and Code Apps workshop for students ages 13 and older to learn about apps and how to create them. Students can register for this event at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CKYQ6K2.     5. Feed Fullerton is a new City run program connecting low-income households with meals from Fullerton’s local eateries. Enrolled participants will receive 6 vouchers per month to use at participating restaurants in Fullerton. Eligibility: Must be ages 18 and over, meet household low income eligibility criteria, current City of Fullerton resident, and not receiving CaFresh benefits. This could benefit parents and 18 year old students from low-income households and/or that are homeless or on their own.     10 LGBTQ Spring 2021 Virtual Teach-in: 

    On behalf of LGBTQ Center OC, ACLU of Southern California, Anti-Defamation League of Orange/Long Beach, and Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties, we invite youth, students, parents, guardians, and families, school staff and administration, and other community members to participate at our upcoming Spring 2021 Virtual Teach-In: Putting Parents and Guardians First for LGBTQ Advocacy. This event will focus on parents, guardians, and families and provide the tools and resources needed to strengthen their support and advocacy for their LGBTQ loved ones.

    It will take place virtually on Wednesday, April 21st from 6:00-8:00 pm on Zoom. Registrants will receive the Zoom meeting information and password as soon as possible.
