School Profile

  • Sonora High School is one of seven high schools in the Fullerton Union High School District, located in North Orange County and serving students from the cities of La Habra, Fullerton, and Brea.  The area served by Sonora could be described as a suburban community with growing commercial activity, but with limited industry.  Members of the community are mostly middle-socioeconomic professionals, managerial, and skilled workers.  Sonora is a comprehensive four-year high school with an enrollment of approximately 1700 students.  Sonora High School is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.  From the class of 2022, 30% of the graduating class will be attending four-year colleges and 50% will be attending community colleges.  Several unique programs have been implemented at Sonora -- the International Baccalaureate Honors Program, Agriculture, AVID, Academy of Nursing and Medical Careers, Culinary Arts, JROTC, and Gaming.
